Terms of Service for zBridge Club

Welcome to zBridge Club! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the zBridge Club website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is a free hobby project designed to provide an online platform for playing contract bridge, including social and rated game modes, AI bot play, tutorials, and analysis tools.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the zBridge Club Service, you affirm that you are at least 13 years of age and are capable of forming a binding contract. If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you confirm that you have parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

2. Account Registration and Security

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process, including your name, email address, and a password.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your password and account.
  • Be solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Immediately notify zBridge Club of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

zBridge Club reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide inaccurate, incomplete, or false information.

3. User Conduct

You agree not to engage in any "bad conduct" while using the Service. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Cheating: Using any unauthorized methods, software, or exploits to gain an unfair advantage in games.
  • Harassment, Hate Speech, or Discrimination: Any form of abusive, threatening, defamatory, or discriminatory language or behavior towards other users or the Service administrators.
  • Spamming or Solicitation: Sending unsolicited messages, advertisements, or promotional materials.
  • Impersonation: Pretending to be another person or entity.
  • Intellectual Property Infringement: Uploading, sharing, or distributing content that you do not have the right to use.
  • Disruption: Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Service or its data.
  • Illegal Activities: Using the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Exploiting Bugs: Intentionally using or publicizing any bug, glitch, or exploit in the Service.

zBridge Club reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, what constitutes "bad conduct" and to take appropriate action, including account suspension or termination.

4. User-Generated Content

  • Responsibility: You are solely responsible for any content you create, submit, post, or transmit through the Service ("User Content"), including chat messages, profile information, and game-related comments.
  • Moderation: All User Content is subject to moderation by zBridge Club administrators. We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to monitor, review, edit, or remove any User Content that we deem, in our sole discretion, to be inappropriate, violates these Terms, or is otherwise objectionable, without prior notice.
  • Ownership: You retain all ownership rights to your User Content. However, by submitting User Content to zBridge Club, you grant zBridge Club a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform your User Content in connection with the Service and zBridge Club's (the creator's) business, including for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Service (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats and through any media channels.

5. Privacy Policy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by this reference. Please review our Privacy Policy at https://zbridge.club/privacy-policy to understand our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information.

6. Service Availability and Disclaimer of Warranties

The zBridge Club Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

  • zBridge Club does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
  • zBridge Club does not warrant that the results that may be obtained from the use of the Service will be accurate or reliable.
  • zBridge Club does not warrant that the results that may be obtained from the use of the Service will be accurate or reliable.
  • zBridge Club reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you or any third party. As a free hobby project, there is no guarantee of continuous availability or future development.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall zBridge Club (the creator) be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (c) any content obtained from the Service; and (d) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage, and even if a remedy set forth herein is found to have failed of its essential purpose.

8. Account Termination

  • By You: You may terminate your account at any time by visiting the dedicated "Delete Account" page within the Service. Upon termination, your account and associated data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.
  • By zBridge Club: We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to your breach of these Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
